| University of Illinois Wins Intercollegiate Championship | | | |
| Wednesday, April 14 2010 13:11 | Congratulations to the University of Illinois, who won the 2010 Intercollegiate Championships. Although down at the half to Wisconsin White Water, Illinois managed to play a spectactular 2nd half to defeat White Water, with a final score of 66-59. The high-scorer of the game was Steve Serio, who contributed 14 points. His teammates Hiroaki Kozai and Joey Gugliotta both added 13 points as well. The Intercollegiate Player of the Year was Steve Serio, also from the University of Illinois. Along with this, his teammate Brian Bell is a 1st Team All-American, with Shawna Culp and Wataru Horie also qualifying as Academic All-Americans. On the season, Illinios only lost 1 game, setting their record at 31-1. Much congratulations should be given to the team not only for the acheivements on the court, but their academic success as well.

| Saturday, March 20 2010 00:27 | The top seeds at the NIWBT advanced to the championship game today. The top seed, the University of Illinois, easily dispatched the University of Alabama 78 - 45. Brian Bell led the Illini with 19 points. Steve Serio, Joey Gugliotta and Tom Smurr also hit double figures for the Illini. Alabama's Jared Arambula led all scorers with 21 points. The University of Wisconsin - Whitewater knocked off the University of Texas at Arlington in the nightcap 64 - 49. Andre Bienek paced the Warhawks with 24 points. Nate Hinze added 18 points and 12 rebounds. David Wilkes led the Mavs with 16 points and nine rebounds.
