The Ryan Martin Foundation along with the CT Spokebenders are hosting the 6th Annual Junior Wheelchair Basketball camp in South Windsor CT.

The camp is free for all participants.  The camp dates are 7/2114/ - 7/25/14

The University of Missouri will host their wheelchair basketball camp July 20-24, 2014. The camp is for males and females ages 12-19 with a permanent disability of the lower extremity. The camp focuses on individual fundamental skill development and strategies in team play. University of Illinois Summer Camps

The University of Illinois will be hosting 2 summer basketball camps this year on the University of Illinois campus. We will be hosting camp at the Activity Recreation Center (ARC) and campers will be staying in the brand new Nugent dorms, directly across the street from the gym!

Registration for the University of Illinois Summer Wheelchair Basketball Camps is still open.  There are still spots available for the Elite Camp, which will be held June 26-July 1, but registration will be capped at 30 participants so if you are interested, please register soon! Our Individual Skills Camp will be held July 5-9, and spots are still available for this camp as well.

Edinboro University will be hosting there 13th Junior Wheelchair Basketball Camp and it will be under the direction of Head Coach Jim Glatch. Glatch will be entering his 19th season as Head Coach of the Fighting Scots Wheelchair Basketball Team. This year’s camp will take on a new twist.

We will be offering this camp as a team camp. It is intended for both players and coaches to attend to work on their team for the upcoming season. Team Camp will offer three components. The first will be practice sessions that will permit players and coaches to prepare for the upcoming season with Coach Glatch and his staff. The second component will be team competition with a camp champion being crowned at the end. The third component will be a daily coaches clinic for the teams coaches with Coach Glatch on fundamentals of the game and coaching wheelchair basketball. This year’s camp will be open to all NWBA Junior teams in the Junior Varsity and Varsity levels. Housing for the Edinboro Camp will be in an on campus Residence Hall that has staff supervision. All meals will be held in the Van Houton Dining Hall and are included in the price of camp.

The University of Alabama Adapted Athletics is hosting a men’s and women’s wheelchair basketball camp this summer from June 19-22. The camp will include intensive 2-3 teaching sessions a day as well as elective activities in wheelchair tennis, adapted golf and adapted rowing. The cost of the camp is $450 per person. To sign up just visit www.alabamaadapted.com and click on the summer camp tab for men’s or women’s basketball. You can complete your application and pay online. See you this summer!
