New York City Wheelchair Basketball Tournament Returns on October 5-6, 2013
The 13th annual Matthew Sapolin Memorial Wheelchair Basketball Tournament (formerly the Mayor’s Cup) will bring the nation’s best wheelchair basketball teams to New York City for two days of non-stop action on October 5 & 6! The tournament, held at Manhattan College in the Bronx, is the largest of its kind in the Northeast and has become one of the premier events on the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) schedule. The tournament will be played in a round robin format that guarantees each team plays a minimum of three games.
The tournament is open to all NWBA-sanctioned teams in the following divisions: Championship, Division III and Women.
Admission is FREE for all spectators!
Team Entry Fee:
Entries will be determined on a first-come basis based on when their entry fees are received. Entry fee for the tournament is $250; teams will not be officially registered until the tournament entry fee is paid in full. The deadline for all checks to be received is September 13, 2013.
