| 2010 NYC MAYOR’S CUP WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
The 10th Annual NYC Mayor's Cup Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, the largest tournament of its kind in the Northeast, will once again be held at Manhattan College in New York City from October 8-10, 2010. This year’s tournament will be the biggest and best one yet as 16 Division 3 teams from around the country will vie for the coveted Mayor’s Cup trophy.
Format The Mayor’s cup will feature a round robin format that will guarantee that each team plays a minimum of four games. Entries will be determined on a first-come basis based on when their entry fees are received.
Hotel The NYC Sports Commission has secured a rate of $79 per night ($89 for a double) plus taxes with the LaGuardia Airport Hotel for our out-of-town participants for this year's Mayor's Cup Wheelchair Basketball Tournament. The hotel will provide free pick up and drop off to the airport and will provide parking for $18 per night. This rate is subject to availability, meaning that if you wait too long you might risk the chance that they will not have any more available rooms. To book a hotel room at this rate, please call either (718) 565-3350 or 1-888-307-7555 and tell them that you are participating in the Mayor's Cup Wheelchair Basketball Tournament. You are welcome to find accommodations on your own if you wish to do so.
Entry Fee Entry fee for the tournament is $250; your team will not be officially registered until the tournament entry is paid in full. The deadline for all checks to be sent is September 17, 2010. Checks should be made out to the NYC & Company and should be sent to the following address:
Jeff Mohl NYC & Company 810 7th Avenue, 3rd Floor New York, NY 10019
