Current Interns

Kimberly Beard

Kimberly Beard is the Events and Marketing Intern for the NWBA. She was born and raised in Colorado Springs and graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2015. She is a triplet who has a passion for fitness and nutrition. 


William Caine

William Caine is the Event and Membership Intern for the NWBA. He is a Colorado native who will be graduating from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2019. His favorite sports are basketball and football and he enjoys snowboarding with friends. 


Ryan Hickey

Ryan Hickey is the Events and Operations Intern for the NWBA. He was born and raised in San Francisco, California and moved to Colorado in 2013. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2017. He volunteered with the NWBA for 4 years while he was in college and has been an intern since June 2017.


Cole Jackson

Cole Jackson is the Marketing and Sponsorship Intern for the NWBA. He graduated from Grand View University with a degree in Sports Management in 2015. While at GVU, he played football and won a National Championship in 2013. 


Gilda Vargas

Gilda Vargas is the Event Management Intern for the NWBA. She will graduate from Texas A&M University in 2018 with a degree in Sports Management. She is a self-proclaimed army brat who has lived in 8 different states, but is a SoCal girl at heart. She hopes to use her degree and the power of sports to aid underprivileged children. Gilda is an avid dog lover and always enjoys watching any Fightin’ Texas Aggie sporting event.


Luke Westall

Luke Westall is the Event & Membership Intern for the NWBA. He is a Colorado native who grew up in Florida. He will graduate from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2018. Luke loves sports and is most passionate about football and basketball. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities like snowboarding, hunting, and fishing. 


Pasha Zolfaghari

Pasha Zolfaghari is the Communications Intern for the NWBA. He was born and raised in Laguna Hills, California and moved to Colorado in 2018. He graduated from the University of Washington in 2013 and earned his master’s degree from the University of Southern California in 2017. Pasha was a Peace Corps Volunteer in South Africa from 2014-2016 and is an avid fan of the NBA.
