Colorado Springs, Colorado – The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) announced Monday that it has entered into a multi-year agreement with ABC Medical, continuing the long-standing relationship. ABC Medical, the presenting sponsor of the National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, will increase its presence across NWBA media platforms.

ABC Medical is a national leader in providing medical supplies. They offer customers a life-changing experience and provide customer service that focuses on providing legendary customer service and a mission “to do well by doing good”. ABC Medical is also a leader in supporting adaptive sports nationwide, and is active in championing emerging wheelchair basketball programs.

One new initiative for the NWBA and ABC Medical is the development of the ABC Medical webpage, that will be housed on the NWBA website (www.nwba.org). This new content will be focused on increasing awareness of wheelchair basketball and adaptive sports while engaging members through a series of interviews and stories. This new media archive will also provide NWBA members a new platform to learn about industry-leading medical supplies and resources to maintain a healthy lifestyle as an athlete.

Keith W. Jones, President and CEO of ABC Medical, stated ”Our Company’s mission is “To Do Well by Doing Good”, and one of the key ways we strive to achieve our mission is by supporting the efforts of the NWBA and the thousands of NWBA members in their pursuit to adapt, believe and compete on and off the court. We could not be any prouder to be the presenting sponsor of the NWBT and continue our longstanding tradition to support wheelchair basketball in the U.S.”

The 2017 NWBT presented by ABC Medical is set for Louisville, Kentucky, March 29-April 2. The 69th edition will feature 96 teams from the NWBA Adult and Junior divisions. ABC Medical will be on-site with an interactive booth for all attendees to visit and learn about their products and services. In addition, this year ABC Medical will award up to five scholarships to NWBA athletes who complete and submit their applications during the tournament.

“Extending our partnership with ABC Medical exemplifies our commitment to continue to align the NWBA with partners that provide value and offer solutions, tools and empowerment to our membership, which translates into benefitting overall well-being and quality of life,” said NWBA Executive Director Jim Scherr.

The NWBA and ABC Medical will also cross promote programs to members and adaptive sports enthusiasts through its social network channels.
