This Week in the NWBA (Nov. 13-19)

This week November 13-19, the NWBA hosts several sanctioned events in Oregon, Virginia, Missouri, New York, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

All events are open to the public. The NWBA asks that teams and spectators share their experience by posting their photos and tagging the NWBA. Use the hashtag #NWBA to be featured on our social media sites.

 

2018 Men’s Selection Camp Application Deadline (Nov. 15)

The 2018 Men’s Selection Camp applications are due Wednesday, November 15 at 11:59 p.m. MST.

All athletes interested in trying out for the U.S. Men’s National Team, which will compete in the 2018 World Championship, must attend the Selection Camp.

The Men’s Selection Camp is January 2-7, 2018 at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Players are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Housing, meals and ground transportation once in Colorado Springs are provided by the NWBA.

Bridge City Classic (Nov.17-19)

The Adaptive Sports Northwest is hosting the Bridge City Classic at the Hoop (YMCA) located at 9685 SW Harvest Ct., Beaverton, Oregon.

Ten teams will compete in the Junior (Prep), Junior (Varsity) and Adult Division III. Awards are provided for first, second, and third place teams.

Virginia Sun Wheelers Mayors Tournament (Nov.17-19)

 

The Virginia Sun Wheeler Inc. host the Virginia Sun Wheelers Mayors Tournament at the Great Neck Community Center, 2521 Shorehaven Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia.

This tournament is for Adult Division III teams.

KC Crossroads Invitational (Nov. 18-19)

The Midwest Adaptive Sports is hosting the KC Crossroads Invitational at the Pioneer Ridge Middle School, 1656 South Speck, Independence, Missouri.

Adult Division I and II teams participating include the Missouri Predators of Kansas City, Missouri; Austin Rec'ers of Austin Texas; Oklahoma Rollin’ Trojans of Collinsville, Oklahoma; Madonna Magic of Lincoln, Nebraska; Kansas Wheelhawks of Lawrence, Kansas.

Awards for the Tournament MVP, first, second, and third place are provided.

The Magee Spokesmen of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania face the Brooklyn Nets of Brooklyn, New York Saturday, November 18.

 

Harrisonburg Cardinals at Fayetteville Flyers (Nov. 18)

The Harrisonburg Cardinals of Orange, Virginia play the Fayetteville Flyers of Sanford, North Carolina Saturday, November 18.

The Harrisonburg Cardinals of Orange, Virginia play the Magee Spokesmen of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Sunday, November 19.
