NWBA Set to Launch NWBAShop.com on Cyber Monday, November 27
November 17, 2017
The NWBA announced Friday that the organization will launch NWBAShop.com, its first online store. NWBAShop.com will open on Cyber Monday at 7 a.m. Eastern on November 27. Cyber Monday is the nation’s largest online shopping day. The online store presence will provide athletes, coaches, teams reps, parents and fans an opportunity to purchase NWBA apparel and a variety of other licensed products.
The highlight of the shop will be the limited edition Double Gold Nike Wheelchair Basketball T-shirt that honors the two gold medals won by the 2016 Men’s and Women’s Paralympic Teams at the Rio Games. This Double Gold design features a gold silkscreened Nike swoosh and “wheelchair basketball” on a black background and will retail for $26.99.
The first set of products available will be Nike polo shirts, Nike Dri-Fit T-Shirts, Nike T-Shirts (short and long sleeved), Nike hats, Nike Drawstring bags, and others. Items range in price from $15-$45. From November 27 to December 3 all orders over $100 will receive free shipping. Other promotions will run through the first month, and other sales will be announced throughout the 2017-18 NWBA season.
“This is an exciting time for the NWBA with the launch of a webstore that provides our members and fans an opportunity to support the NWBA with officially licensed apparel items from key partners,” said Anthony Bartkowski, NWBA Executive Director. “The limited-edition Nike Wheelchair Basketball Double Gold t-shirt should be a hot item, and commemorates the historic wins at the Rio Games. We will continue to work with Nike in developing other limited-edition items as we build towards national tournaments in March and April.”
The NWBAShop.com will also travel to Louisville, Kentucky, for the 70th National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament presented by ABC Medical, with a commemorative line of souvenirs recognizing this historical event. The NWBA will identify other events to sell NWBA products at throughout the season.
The NWBA will continue to add merchandise to the storefront and intends to acquire other key licensees for products that resonate with our athletes and members. In early 2018, the organization will also launch a consignment program for member teams to sell NWBA licensed products at local events, with the proceeds benefitting the local programs. More information on the consignment merchandise program will be available in January 2018.
