This Week in the NWBA (Nov. 20-26)

This week November 20-26, the NWBA celebrates Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 23. This week also includes the application deadline for the 2018 NWBA High Performance Women’s Player Application and a NWBA sanctioned event.

The NWBA Board of Directors, staff, national teams wish a pleasant and wonderful holiday to all of our members. The NWBA office is closed Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23 and Black Friday, Friday, November 24. Normal business hours will resume Monday, November 27.

All events are open to the public. The NWBA asks that teams and spectators share their experience by posting their photos and tagging the NWBA. Use the hashtag #NWBA to be featured on our social media sites.

 

2018 NWBA High Performance Women’s Player Application Deadline (Nov. 22)

The 2018 NWBA High Performance Women’s Player Application for the 2018 U.S. Women’s National Team are due Wednesday, November 22 at 11:59 p.m. MST. The U.S. Women’s National Team will consist of 12 athletes that will travel to Hamburg, Germany on August 16-25, 2018, to participate in the 2018 IWBF World Championships.

All athletes interested in trying out for the 2018 U.S. Women’s National Team must attend the Selection Camp. The Women’s Selection Camp is January 14-18, 2018 at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Players are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Housing, meals and ground transportation once in Colorado Springs are provided by the NWBA.

Thanksgiving (Nov. 23)

LWSRA Women's Tournament (Nov. 26)

The LWSRA will host the LWSRA Women’s Tournament at the Lincolnway Special Recreation Association, 1900 Heather Glen Drive, on Sunday, November 26 in New Lenox, Illinois.
