The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) is excited to offer sanctioned events in Maryland, New Jersey, Texas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida and California this week.

All events are open to the public. The NWBA asks that teams and spectators share their experience by posting their photos and tagging the NWBA. Use the hashtag #NWBA to be featured on our social media sites.

 

8th Annual Capital Wheelchair Basketball Invitational (Dec. 16-17)

The Medstar National Rehab Hospital will host the 8th Annual Capital Wheelchair Basketball Invitational this weekend at Southern Regional Technology and Recreation Complex at 7007 Bock Rd in Fort Washington, MD.

The tournament will include the following teams from Adult Division I and II: New York Rollin’ Knicks, Toronto Rollin’ Raptors – DI, Shepherd Stealers – DI, Medstar NRH Punishers and Austin Recer’s – DII.

2017 PossAbilities Wheelchair Basketball Tournament (Dec. 17)

The Rolling Bears Wheelchair Athletic Association and host team PossAblitites Rolling Bears will play host to four teams from Adult Division II. The event will take place at the Drayson Center, 25040 Stewart Street, in Loma Linda, CA.

RCRC Lightning Invitational Wheelchair Basketball Tournament (Dec. 16-17)

The RCRC Lightning, supported by the Richland County Recreational Commission, are hosting this event at Denny Terrace Community Center, 6429 Bishop Avenue, in Columbia, SC. The event will showcase eight teams from Adult Division II and III.

Boyle Heights Kodiak’s DII One Day Mini-Tournament (Dec. 16)

The Boyle Heights Kodiak’s DII One Day Mini-Tournament will be held on Saturday, December 16 at the Ramon Garcia Recreational Center, 1016 S. Fresno Street, in Los Angeles, CA. The tournament field will include teams from the Adult Division II and III.

Sullivan Classic (Dec. 16-17)

The Sullivan Classic will be hosted by the Magee Rehabilitation Hospital at the Riverwinds Community Center, 1000 Riverwinds Drive, in West Deptford, New Jersey. The tournament will host teams from Adult Division II and III.

Holiday Nashville Games (Dec. 16)

The Music City Lightning and National Wheelcats will be hosting games this Saturday at
McMurray Middle School, 520 McMurray Drive, in Nashville, TN. The games will include teams from Adult Division II and III.

Austin Invitational (Dec. 16)
