COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO -- The Adult Division Executive Committee has announced the 2017-18 January’s Rankings for Adult Division I, Adult Division II and Adult Division III. All three divisions’ top three ranked teams retain their spots from the December rankings. The top seeds from each division remain as follows: Dallas Wheelchair Mavericks for Adult Division I, Nassau Kings for Adult Division II and TIRR Houston Hotwheels – DIII for Adult Division III.

The Dallas Wheelchair Mavericks continue to dominate Adult Division I after going undefeated in the months of December and January with a record of 6-0. The New York Rollin’ Knicks have been undefeated in that time span with a record of 6-0 as well. The Sacramento Rollin’ Kings have put forth a strong month on the court with their only blemish being a 78-68 loss to the Dallas Wheelchair Mavericks at the Sacramento Rollin’ Kings Shootout on January 20, 2018.

A few teams have leaped up in spots since the last Adult Division I rankings including the Missouri Predators from 16th to 8th and the Shepherd Stealers from 18th to 11th. A few teams have fell spots from the December ranking as the Milwaukee Wheelchair Bucks have dropped from 4th to 20th and the RIC Hornets from 7th to 19th due to a lack of Adult Division I games posted.

In the Adult Division II rankings, the top five teams have not changed since the last rankings. The Nassau Kings kept their ranking atop the Adult Division II rankings by winning every game they’ve played since Oct. 22, 2017. The Tampa Bay Strong Dogs had the most dramatic change in ranking jumping from 16th to 6th spot and the Cincinnati Royals fell out of the top 20 to make way for the newly ranked LA Clippers Chairmen.

In the Adult Division III rankings, the top six teams have not changed since the last rankings. The biggest risers from the last rankings were the Triad Trackers from 15th to 12th and the Tyler Thorns from 18th to 15th. The teams that dropped in the rankings were the Louisville Spokes & Spires from 12th to 17th and the Tucson Lobos from 13th to 19th. The Rochester Wheels fell out of the top 20 rankings, but the Orlando Magic Wheels were able to fight their way from not being ranked to securing the 18th spot.

The Adult Division I, II and III rankings are provided monthly to the NWBA by the Adult Division Executive Committee. The top 16 ranked teams for each Adult Division will earn an invite to the 2018 National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament presented by ABC Medical on April 12-15 at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The 48 teams from the three Adult Divisions will battle it out for a coveted national title on 12 basketball courts over four days of competition.
