Post-Season Application Available (Feb. 1)

The Post-Season application for the NWBT will be available for all divisions beginning on Thursday, February 1. The link to the application will be posted on the NWBA’s website and social media accounts on February 1.

UNO Wheelchair College Tournament (Feb. 2-3)

The University of Nebraska – Omaha will be hosting the UNO Wheelchair College Tournament from February 2-3, 2018. The tournament will be held at the University of Nebraska Sapp Fieldhouse, located at 6001 Dodge St, Omaha, NE. This will be a round robin tournament, where each team plays each other at least once.

The tournament will feature the following three Intercollegiate Men’s Division teams: Southwest Minnesota State University of Marshall, MN, University of Missouri of Columbia, MO and University of Nebraska – Omaha of Omaha, NE. The Madonna Magic of Lincoln, NE, an Adult Division II team, will also be competing in the tournament.

Big Cheese Classic (Feb. 3-4)

The Wisconsin Adaptive Sports Association (WASA) will be hosting the Big Cheese Classic from February 3-4, 2018. The tournament will be held at Brookfield East High School, located at 3305 Lilly Road, Brookfield, WI. The tournament will feature teams from four different divisions.

The tournament will feature the following eight Junior Prep Division teams: Synergy Junior Bulls – Prep of Carol Stream, IL, Chicago Skyhawks – Prep of Chicago IL, LWSRA Hawks – Prep of New Lenox, IL, Nebraska Red Dawgs – Prep of Omaha, NE, WASA Jr. Bucks – Prep of Brookfield, WI, St. Louis Jr. Rolling Rams – Prep of St. Peters, MO, Mary Free Bed Junior Pacers – Prep of Grand Rapids, MI, and the SportAbility Rolling Panthers – Prep of Prairie City, IA.

The following Junior Varsity Division teams will also play in the tournament: WASA Jr. Bucks – Varsity of Brookfield, WI, Chicago Skyhawks – Varsity of Chicago, IL, Mad City Badgers of Madison, WI, Mary Free Bed Junior Pacers – Varsity of Grand Rapids, MI, LWSRA Hawks – Varsity of New Lenox, IL, Rancho Renegades of Downey, CA, Rockford Jr. Chariots of Rockford, IL, Synergy Junior Bulls – Varsity of Carol Stream, IL, and the Miami Valley Junior Raptors - Varsity of Xenia, OH.

The tournament will also feature the following five Adult Division III teams: WASA Bucks – DIII of Brookfield, WI, Rockford Chariots of Roscoe, IL, Eastern Iowa Outlaws of Davenport, IA, LWSRA Hawks of New Lenox, IL and the Chicago Skyhawks of Chicago, IL.

To round out the final division of play, the following four teams will represent the Women’s Division: WASA Bucks – Women of Brookfield, WI, LWSRA Lady Hawks of New Lenox, IL, University of Wisconsin - Whitewater – Women of Whitewater, WI.

Houston Slam Jam (Feb. 3-4)

The City of Houston will host the Houston Slam Jam from February 3-4, 2018. The tournament will be held at the Pearland Recreation Center, located at 4141 Bailey Rd. Pearland, TX.

Turnstone Summit City Shootout (Feb. 3-4)

Turnstone will host the Turnstone Summit City Shootout from February 3-4, 2018. The tournament will be held at Turnstone, located at 3320 North Clinton St, Fort Wayne, IN. The tournament will have a round robin for the DIII teams and pool play with crossover games for the DI-DII teams.

The Cleveland Wheelchair Cavaliers of Brunswick, OH will represent the Adult Division I in the tournament.

The tournament will also feature the following eight Adult Division II teams: Charlottesville Cardinals - DII of Charlottesville, VA, Toronto Rollin Raptors of Nepean, Ontario, Minnesota Rolling Timberwolves of Minneapolis, MN, Lakeshore Storm of Birmingham, AL, London Forest City Flyers of Denfield, Ontario, Miami Valley Raptors of Xenia, OH, Cincinnati Royals of Cincinnati, OH and the RIM Detroit Diehards of Royal Oak, MI.

The following six Adult Division III teams will also be featured in the tournament: Turnstone Bandits of Fort Wayne, IN, Mary Free Bed Rollin DRIVE of Grand Rapids, MI, RHI Pacers of Indianapolis, IN, Louisville Spokes and Spires of Louisville, KY, Columbus Wheelchair Basketball Club of Dayton, OH, and the Pittsburgh Steelwheelers of Pittsburgh, PA.

OKASA Invitational (Feb. 3-5)

The Oklahoma Adaptive Sports Association will host the OKASA Invitational from February 3-5, 2018. The tournament will take place at the University of Central Oklahoma Wellness Center, located at 100 North University Drive, Edmond, OK.
