The NWBA has 225 teams across the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico and one of the oldest, longest standing Disabled Sports Organization (DSO) in the world.

  • 85 youth teams with over 1,000 athletes
  • NWBA has both co-ed teams at junior and adult level plus a Women’s Division 
  • Athletes ranging from 5 yrs of age to 65 yrs of age
  • The NWBA selects and develops the U.S.A. Paralympic teams

JUNIOR PREP 

The Junior Prep Division provides the opportunity for all players age 13 and under to experience the sport of wheelchair basketball using a basket height of 8.5 feet. MORE 

LEVELS OF PLAY

When you click "more," you will be taken to the division page with the current registered teams for the 2020-2021 season. You can view schedules, scores, standings, etc. 

JUNIOR VARSITY 

The Junior 10 foot (Varsity) Division uses full size basketball courts and hoops. This level typically introduces advanced skills to the athletes. Athletes are eligible to a maximum age and must be in school. MORE 


DIVISION I 

Allows the elite level and experienced individuals and teams to play at the highest level competition. MORE

Allows the experienced and more developed players and teams to play mid-level competition. MORE ►

DIVISION III 

Allows newer players or lesser developed teams the ability to play at a developmental or recreational level. MORE 


WOMEN'S DIVISION 

The Women's Division features a number of our community teams solely developed for the Women's game. MORE

The Intercollegiate Men's Division features some of the best college level men athletes. MORE
