Volunteer

The NWBA is always looking for volunteers! The NWBA currently has over 200 teams across twenty-two conferences and seven divisions. The NWBA was founded in 1949 and today consist of men’s, women’s, intercollegiate, and youth teams throughout the United States and Canada. The NWBA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Our Mission: In our pursuit of excellence, the National Wheelchair Basketball Association provides qualified individuals with physical disabilities the opportunity to play, learn, and compete in the sport of wheelchair basketball.

Interested in being a volunteer?

If you would like to volunteer, there are a number of ways: assisting at a local team’s tournament or practice, coaching new players, being on a committee, assisting the National Office staff, working at the NWBA National Tournament, and more.

Our teams are always looking for volunteers for their local events. To volunteer locally, please use the find a team map to locate the team nearest to you, and contact the team representative listed on how you can volunteer.
