Alec James - Communications Intern

Alec is from Mattoon, Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management. In Alec's free time, he enjoys watching Illinois sports and exercising. He is extremely excited to get involved with the NWBA and to explore the state of Colorado. 

Rebekah Markovitz - Communications Intern

Rebekah is from Columbia, Maryland and graduated from Ohio University with a bachelors degree in Journalism News and Information and a minor in Sports Administration and Management. She played competitive soccer for 12 years and ran track for six years before pursuing track on the collegiate DI level. She is very excited to continue to be involved in sports with the NWBA. In her free time she enjoys outdoor adventures such as hiking, camping, water skiing, boating, sailing, and kayaking. You are also most likely to find her spontaneously singing and dancing. 


Jordan Bitar - Operations Intern

Jordan is from Broward County, Florida and graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management and a minor in Communications. In his free time, Jordan enjoys listening to music, watching/playing sports, and cooking. 

Matt Hruska - Nationals Intern

Matt is from St. Louis, Missouri and will graduate from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs with a Business Degree in Sports Management in the spring. In his free time, Matt enjoys hiking, watching football and hockey, working out, and playing video games. He is enthusiastic about the internship opportunity with the NWBA.

Tyler Castellanos - Sponsorship Intern

Tyler is from Fairfield, California and is a senior at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs who is also majoring in Sport Management. He played basketball competitively for 11 years and continues to stay close to the sport by playing pickup games every week. He is thrilled to be on board with the National Wheelchair Basketball Association and can't wait to get started.
