Submitting an application is a REQUIREMENT for athletes to be considered for selection to the Team which will represent USA at the 2023 IWBF Women's Under 25 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship to be held in Bangkok, Thailand between 3 – 9 October 2023.

Players who already submitted a 2023 High Performance Player Application will automatically be included in the Application review conducted by the Team Selection Committee and DO NOT need to submit this additional/separate U25 Player Application.

Selection Procedures
The Athlete Selection Procedures outline the eligibility requirements and process for the selection of the 2023 Women's Under 25 Team. The Team who will represent USA at the 2023 IWBF Women's Under 25 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship to be held in Bangkok, Thailand between 3 – 9 October 2023.

Application Timeline

• U25 Application Open: until May 22, 2023
• Team Selection Committee to Review Applications and Invitations sent to Athletes: by May 26, 2023
• Invitations must be confirmed by May 30, 2023
• Confirmed Invited Athletes must arrange travel (book flight, confirm drive plans, etc.) and submit travel plan to Team Leader: before July 3, 2023

Try-Out/Selection Camp
The Try-out/Selection Camp will be hosted to select the 2023 IWBF Women's Under 25 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship (12 players and alternates).

NOTE: All athletes invited to the Try-out/Selection Camp will be responsible to pay for their own travel cost to/from the host site (U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center - Colorado Springs, CO). Housing, food, and ground transportation (if needed) will be provided for all athletes invited to Camp(s).

Projected Schedule

• July 25-30, 2023: Women’s U25 Worlds Team Try-Out/Selection Camp (CSOPTC)
• August 8-13, 2023: Women's U25 Worlds Team Training Camp (CSOPTC)
• September 26-30, 2023: Women's U25 Worlds Team Send-Off Camp (CSOPTC)
• September 30-October 10, 2023: Women’s Under 25 World Championships (Bangkok, Thailand competition 3 – 9 October)

All Staff positions (i.e., Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Leader, Medical) are required to submit an Application to be considered for selection to the 2023 U25 Women’s Team Staff which will represent USA at the 2023 IWBF Women’s U25 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship in Bangkok, Thailand (October 3-9). Additional details can be found in the 'U25 Staff Application Information and Selection Process' document below.

Application Timeline

• February 24 – Announce Open Application and Staff Process
• March 15 - Application Close
• Applications will be reviewed and interviews will be scheduled with the intention to announce all Staff selected by April 2023.
