2021 NWBA ANNUAL ASSEMBLY - VOTING INFORMATION


Annual Assembly Voting Options

All NWBA Members are welcome and encouraged to attend the Annual Assembly (in-person or electronically). Only the voting delegates from teams registered for the 2020-2021 season (as outlined in the Bylaws references below) are allowed to vote.

    The voting delegate that is participating via video conferencing or live streaming may vote electronically. Additional information will be provided during the Annual  Assembly via the voting delegate's email address designated in Team Registration.
     
  3. Absentee Ballot
    • The request for an absentee ballot must be received by the Executive Director by May 25, 2021 (Email Will).
    • The completed absentee ballot must then be returned to the interim Governance Committee Chair by June 9, 2021 (Email Tim).

Annual Assembly Voting Delegate Information

  • The voting delegate can be the Team Representative or someone else, but either way the voting delegate is the person designated within NWBA Team Registration.
  • By April 25, 2021, Teams must be Registered for the 2020-2021 season AND the respective team representative/voting delegate must have a verified, complete 2020-2021 NWBA Non-Athlete Individual Membership Registration (which includes a Passed Background check and current completed SafeSport Training) to be eligible to vote.
  • Teams can update their voting delegate by editing their Team Registration within SportsEngine.

Voting and Other Rights of Members (NWBA Bylaws Section 4.3)

Individuals who are U.S. citizens, at least 18 years of age, and are the Team Representative for their respective NWBA Registered Team shall be entitled to one vote in all matters submitted to a vote of the membership. No other voting privileges are conferred upon these members. All voting delegates shall be a member of the NWBA at least sixty (60) days prior to the date of the election or membership vote (Annual Assembly date) in order to be eligible to vote in such election and/or membership vote.


​​​​​​​Absentee Ballots (NWBA Bylaws Section 10.5)

Voting members of the NWBA who cannot attend the Annual Assembly may request an absentee ballot from the Chair of the Governance Committee through the NWBA Executive Director. 

The request for an absentee ballot must be received at least thirty (30) days prior to the Annual Assembly by the NWBA Executive Director via mail and/or electronic transmission. The completed absentee ballot must then be received by the Chair of the Governance at least fifteen (15) days prior to the commencement of the Annual Assembly. Absentee ballots shall be tabulated at the same time as other ballots during the Annual Assembly.
