The Athlete Selection Procedures are the eligibility requirements and process for the selection of the U.S. Men's and Women's Wheelchair Basketball National Teams.

As outlined in the Athlete Selection Procedure, submitting this Application is a REQUIREMENT for athletes to be considered for selection to the Women's and Men's National Teams that will represent USA at the 2026 IWBF World Championships.
Timeline
• October 6, 2025 = Application Close
• October 7, 2025 - October 31, 2025 = Team Selection Committee to Review Applications, Invitations sent to Athletes and Invited Athletes confirmed
• Week of November 3, 2025 = Try-Out Camp Invitees Announced
• December 3, 2025 = Confirmed Invited Athletes must arrange travel (book flight, confirm drive plans, etc.) and submit travel plan to Team Leader
Invitation Note: In alignment with the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act to provide a fair process for team selection, all athletes invited to Try-Out Camp will be responsible to arrange and pay for their own travel cost. Housing, food, and airport ground transportation will be provided for all athletes invited to Try-Out Camp.

Process
As outlined in the 2026 World Championships Staff Selection Procedure: Submitting a National Team Application is required in order to be considered for a Replacement Staff position (Section 4--head coach, assistant coach, medical, team leader), with the World Championships Team Staff.
