NWBA Launches "Around the NWBA"

This a way for the NWBA to highlight events, activities, and athlete or team stories across our website and social media platforms.

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO - The NWBA is excited to bring you “Around the NWBA.” “Around the NWBA” is a way for the NWBA to highlight events, activities, and athlete or team stories across our website and social media platforms. 

We encourage you to help us tell the many great stories happening in the NWBA. There is no story too small or too big to share. If you are interested in having your event or story featured, please fill out the form below and send a picture or video to Rebekah Markovitz at communications@nwba.org. 

Examples of submissions to send include:

1. Player highlight: 

  • Patrick Anderson on the New York Rollin’ Knicks’ scored 12 of the Knicks’ last 16 points in overtime against the San Diego Wolfpack at the 2016 National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament.  
  • John Doe made his first basket!

2. Team highlight:

  • The University of Alabama overcame two, double-digit deficits to defeat the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, 69-65 at the 2018 National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament. 

3. Non-game/off-court highlight: 

  • The Desert Ability Center is starting a wheelchair basketball program in the Coachella Valley
  • Team/athlete community service, fundraiser, team demo, story, etc. 
  • A junior varsity athlete committed to a school
