COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO - The NWBA is proud to present February’s Toyota Team of the Month program nominees.

The nominees are as follows: 

1. Lakeshore Sharks - Prep: The Sharks are a young team who have grown and learned with each tournament. Despite all but one of the players being brand new to the sport, the sharks captured big success placing second in the Big Peach Slam Jam and third in the SEC Championship Classic. 

2. Corpus Christi Rimz - Division III: The Rimz are a fairly new texan team who does all of their fundraising themselves and thanks their community for their contributions. The team founders play a significant role in the core of the team and have positively impacted many of the players’ lives. The Rimz have come a long way in three years. Chris, a player on the Rimz, believes “the sky's the limit” for the team.

3. University of Wisconsin Whitewater - Women: The team has grown considerably over the last five years, especially this year. The women always play with a lot of heart, give it a 110%, and don’t give up. In Arizona this past month, they were down by two points against the Arizona Storm. There were two seconds on the clock when Lindsay passed the inbound ball to Marissa who immediately passed it back to Lindsay and Lindsay made a three-point buzzer-beater shot for the win.
