2020-21 NWBA Individual Membership & Registration Process

Registration Opens 5 p.m. Mountain Time on September 2

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – The NWBA is excited to launch the individual Membership and Registration process for the 2020-2021 NWBA season. As previously announced during the NWBA Town Hall in July (recording available here), membership dues amounts have been frozen from last season. Individuals can become a member for the first time or renew their membership with the NWBA. For the 2020-21 season, the NWBA will be utilizing the same membership platform, SportsEngine, which assists with team/league management tools and data analysis.

Individual Registration for Athletes and Non-Athletes opens at 5 p.m. Mountain time on Wednesday, September 2. No late fees will be applied at any time this season. To become a NWBA member in good standing, you will have completed each of the following:

1. Establish, or sign into existing, SportsEngine Account (same as previous years)

2. Establish or renew your NWBA Membership (NEW: integrated directly in the registration process)

3. Complete applicable 2020 / 2021 Registration Session

Junior Athlete, Adult Athlete or Non-Athlete Registration Sessions

Credit card payments for individual dues processed online will include an online processing fees of (3.15% + $1.50) per payment.

Athlete Registration Information

The registration fee for athletes for the 2020-21 NWBA season will be:

  • $25 for Junior Athletes
  • $30 for Adult Athletes

For individuals registered on multiple teams, you will only be required to register and pay one time (i.e. athletes on an Junior, Adult Division (DI, DII or DIII) and/or Women's Division teams may register for those teams during one registration session).

Non-Athlete Registration Information

Individual Registration dates are the same for Non-Athletes, which are individuals who serve in the following roles: Coach; Official; Classifier; Team Representative; Statistician; Athletic Trainer; Team Classification Reviewer; Equipment Manager; Administrator; Divisional and Conference Leadership; Board Directors; and Event Director. Only one entry for Non-Athlete Registration is required for individuals serving in various roles.

The registration fee for Non-Athletes for the 2020-21 NWBA season will be $60. Registered Adult Athletes (paid $30 membership due) that need to register also as a Non-Athlete will only be charged an additional $30 for the Non-Athlete fee when completing an entry for 2020-21 Non-Athlete Registration.

Non-Athletes, in order to ensure the safety of our Athletes, are required to successfully pass a background check, which is integrated directly into the registration process.

Other Important Information

Individuals must have a verified NWBA Athlete and/or Non-Athlete Registration 10 days prior to their first competition at a NWBA sanctioned event. A complete Athlete and/or Non-Athlete Registration includes the successful completion of the following certifications: Background Check, Safe Sport Certification (if applicable), Coaches Certification (if applicable), Officials Certification (if applicable), Team Reviewer Certification (if applicable). All individuals registering within 10 days of an NWBA sanctioned event may NOT be eligible to participate. We highly encourage you to register as soon as possible to avoid issues later in the season. Make sure your games count towards Nationals.
