2021-22 NWBA Individual Membership & Registration Process
REGISTER BETWEEN AUGUST 1-17 TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR AN ENTRY IN THE Individual PRIZE PACK GIVEAWAY
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – The NWBA is excited to launch the individual membership and registration process for the 2021-2022 NWBA season. As previously announced during 2021 Annual Assembly on June 24 (recording available here), membership dues amounts have been frozen from last season (and the 2019-20 season). Individuals can become a member for the first time or renew their membership with the NWBA. For the 2021-22 season, the NWBA will continue to utilize the same membership platform, SportsEngine, which assists with team/league management tools and data analysis.
Individual Registration for Athletes and Non-Athletes opens at 5 p.m. Mountain time on Sunday, August 1. No late fees will be applied at any time this season. To become a NWBA member in good standing, you will have completed each of the following:
1. Establish, or sign into existing, SportsEngine Account (same as previous years)
2. Establish or renew your NWBA Membership (integrated directly in the registration process)
3. Complete applicable 2021 / 2022 Registration Session (Junior Athlete, Adult Athlete or Non-Athlete Registration Sessions)

Credit card payments for individual dues processed online will include an online processing fees of (3.15% + $1.50) per payment.
All individuals who register between 5 p.m. Mountain time on Sunday, August 1 and 11:59 p.m. MT on Tuesday, August 17 are eligible for an entry in the individual prize pack giveaway. Scroll down for more information.

ATHLETE REGISTRATION INFORMATION
The registration fee for athletes for the 2021-22 NWBA season will be:
- $25 for Junior Athletes
- $30 for Adult Athletes
For individuals registered on multiple teams, you will only be required to register and pay one time (i.e. athletes on an Junior, Adult Division (DI, DII or DIII) and/or Women's Division teams may register for those teams during one registration session).
A team must complete Team Registration prior to an individual completing any Athlete (Junior and Adult) or Non-Athlete Registration.
NON-ATHLETE REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Individual Registration dates are the same for Non-Athletes, which are individuals who serve in the following roles: Coach, Official, Classifier, Team Representative/Voting Delegate, Team Support Staff Members (Statistician, Medical Professional, Team Classification Reviewer, Equipment Manager, Administrator, Personal Care Attendant, Other), Hall of Fame member, Board of Directors, Standing or Ad hoc Committee or Task Force Leadership, Divisional and Conference Leadership, Event Director or Sanction Holder, Affiliate (Employees, Interns, Contractors, etc.).
Only one entry for Non-Athlete Registration is required for individuals serving in various roles.
The registration fee for Non-Athletes for the 2021-22 NWBA season will be $60. Registered Adult Athletes (paid $30 membership due) that need to register also as a Non-Athlete will only be charged an additional $30 for the Non-Athlete fee when completing an entry for 2021-22 Non-Athlete Registration.
Non-Athletes, in order to ensure the safety of our Athletes, are required to successfully pass a background check, which is integrated directly into the registration process, and to complete SafeSport Training.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Individuals must have a verified NWBA Athlete and/or Non-Athlete Registration 10 days prior to their first competition at a NWBA sanctioned event. A complete Athlete and/or Non-Athlete Registration includes the successful completion of the following certifications: Background Check (if applicable), Safe Sport Certification (if applicable), Coaches Certification (if applicable), Officials Certification (if applicable), Team Reviewer Certification (if applicable). All individuals registering within 10 days of an NWBA sanctioned event may NOT be eligible to participate. Individuals are highly encourage to register as soon as possible to avoid eligibility issues and to ensure that results are valid.

INDIVIDUAL PRIZE PACK GIVEAWAY - REGISTER ASAP TO BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN
The National Wheelchair Basketball Association is excited to announce the Individual Prize Package Giveaway for individuals registering from August 1-17, 2021. All individuals who register between 5 p.m. Mountain time on Sunday, August 1 and 11:59 p.m. MT on Tuesday, August 17 are eligible for the drawing.
To be eligible to win you must complete an entry for the 2021-22 NWBA Individual Registration, which includes Junior Athlete, Adult Athlete and Non-Athlete Registrations. Winners will be selected at random. Number of winners will be determined by number of entries received. The prize packages will include Molten basketballs, NWBA apparel, or other great items.
