COLORADO SRINGS, CO – The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) High Performance Committee is excited to announce the final roster for the 2022 Toyota Team USA Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team for the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) World Championships. This selection was made at the conclusion of the 2022 Toyota Team USA Women’s Selection Camp hosted August 28-30 at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. 

“Our staff is proud of the determination put forth by all the athletes during this selection camp. The athletes in attendance came into the camp ready to battle for a roster spot. We had a couple full days of testing, on-court sessions, and off-court meetings/sessions. Even with such long days we saw a positive attitude and maximum effort from the camp attendees.”, comments U.S. Women’s National Team Head Coach Christina Schwab at the end of selection camp.

This final roster will attend the 2022 IWBF World Championships which will be held from November 16-27, 2022, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. There will be 12 women's and 16 men's teams competing in this event. The U.S. Women's National Team recently qualified in July for the World Championships with their silver-medal performance at the Americas Cup in Brazil.

Coach Schwab shares more on the Toyota U.S.A Women’s National Team roster for World Championships, “With the final roster set, we will continue to work on finetuning our execution of team concepts and play. These 12 athletes are committed to training hard at home/school and at our final two training camps to be the most prepared team leading into Worlds.”

The final roster includes 10  athletes that won silver, and qualified for Worlds, this past month at the 2022 Americas Cup. The roster includes ten of the eight athletes that represented Team USA and won a bronze medal at the most recent 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. The roster also includes eight athletes with playing experience for the U.S. Women's Senior National Team at the World Championships. 

The most decorated member of the final roster is  Natalie Schneider (Syracuse, NE) who has been a member of Team USA since winning her first Paralympic gold at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. Schneider's addition to the roster adds the pedigree of a World Champion having won gold at the 2010 IWBF World Championships. Schneider recently served as the co-captain for the U.S. Women's National Team from 2019 to 2021.

Rose Hollermann (Elysian, MN) joins Schneider as another veteran presence on the roster. Hollermann and Schneider played on the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Paralympic teams, winning gold at the 2016 Rio Paralympics and bronze medal at the most recent 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Hollermann was a member of the team that qualified for Worlds this past month at the 2022 Americas Cup. Hollermann looks to find her first podium finish at World Championships having finished fourth place in 2014 and sixth in 2018 in the event.

Courtney Ryan (Chula Vista, CA) also returns a Team USA final roster having been a member of the bronze medal winning U.S. Women’s team from the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. She was also member of the silver medal team from the 2019 Lima Parapan American Games, which secured the qualifying spot for Tokyo Paralympics. Ryan was a member of the U.S. Women's squad that finished fourth at the 2014 IWBF World Championships. 

Bailey Moody (Alpharetta, GA), and Lindsey Zurbrugg (Portland, OR) began their Team USA experience as members of the 2017 America's Cup team that won a silver medal in Cali, Colombia. They went on to win a silver medal at the 2019 Lima Parapan American Games. Lastly, these two athletes were all contributing members of the roster at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics that captured a bronze medal. As for experience at World Championships they both were contributing members of the sixth place finish in 2018 in Hamburg, Germany. 

Windy City natives  Ixhelt Gonzalez (Chicago, Illinois) and Zoe Voris (Chicago, Illinois) are a selected to the final roster for Worlds. Voris was a member of the 2017 IWBF America's Cup silver medal team and Gonzalez was a member of the 2018 IWBF World Championship team. Both Voris and Gonzalez's were part of the bronze medal winning team from the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Most recently they both added to their trophy case this summer as they earned a silver medal in Brazil at the 2022 Americas Cup. 

Abigail Bauleke (Savage, MI) returns to the roster after helping Team USA secure a spot at Worlds at the Americas Cup. Bauleke most prestige playing accomplishment would be her bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Bauleke also brings in gold medal experience from the 2019 IWBF Under 25 World Championships. 

Josie DeHart (Fruita, Colorado) makes her second straight final roster for the U.S. Women's National Team. DeHart was a member of the roster for the Americas Cup that was held this past July. DeHart previously had been among those initially selected to the pool in 2017 and was an alternate selection in 2018 for the U.S. Women’s roster. DeHart played this past season professionally in Germany on the ING Skywheelers.

Emily Oberst (Brookfield, Wisconsin) will be a member of back-to-back World Championship rosters; having been a member of the squad for the 2018 IWBF World Championships. Oberst also helped qualify the U.S. Women's team with the silver-medal performance at the Americas Cup. Oberst  was a member of the Worlds qualifying squad for the 2017 IWBF America’s Cup that also won silver. 

Earning their roster spot back and thus making their second U.S. Women's final roster are Mandy Willmore (Rock Springs, WI) and Ranley Clayton (Alexander City, AL). They both helped punch the ticket to Worlds by winning a silver medal at the Americas Cup. Clayton recently finished their NWBA Intercollegiate Division season at University of Illinois-Champaign. Clayton had previously played wheelchair basketball at University of Auburn. Willmore recently finished her first season playing at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. 

The following athletes have been named as alternate roster selections for the U.S. Women: Kaitlyn Eaton (Houston, TX), Abby Farrell (Colorado Springs, CO), and Quinn Meyer (Austin, TX).

- Strength and Conditioning Coach Katie McClosky of Houston, Texas

- Nutritionist Sally Baumann of Greater Brisbane, Australia
