COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2025 Bill and Julie Duncan Good Guy Award.

This prestigious award recognizes NWBA volunteers who demonstrate exceptional commitment to wheelchair basketball at the grassroots level through their contributions to local teams, conferences, or the national organization.

The recipient will be announced during the 2025 Adult Division National Wheelchair Basketball Championships and will receive a commemorative plaque along with a $350 contribution to the NWBA team of their choice.

Award Background

The award was established in memory of Bill Duncan, a dedicated NWBA member who founded the Golden State Warriors wheelchair basketball team in 1976.
