COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. – The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA), in partnership with Discover Monroe-West Monroe, is proud to announce that the 2026 Adult and Junior Division Wheelchair Basketball National Championships will be held at the state-of-the-art West Monroe Sports & Events facility in West Monroe, Louisiana. The National Tournaments will take place over two weekends in March 2026.

We’re excited to showcase the highest levels of wheelchair basketball and continue growing the game in communities across the country.”

The top 16 ranked wheelchair basketball teams in each Adult Division (I, II, and III) will earn an invitation to their respective national tournaments, with competition scheduled to begin on March 26 and conclude on March 29.
One week prior, the top 32 ranked Varsity teams and the top 16 ranked Prep teams will be invited to compete in the NWBA Varsity and Prep Wheelchair Basketball National Championships, taking place March 20–22, 2026.
In total, 96 teams and more than 1,300 wheelchair basketball athletes will compete for a coveted national title across the two championship weekends.
West Monroe Sports and Events is Northeast Louisiana's newest indoor facility. This 110,000 square foot venue features eight basketball courts along with a full-size kitchen, concession on dual levels, and team meeting rooms or multipurpose areas.

The National Wheelchair Basketball Association is the recognized National Governing Body for Wheelchair Basketball by the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation and the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. The NWBA trains and selects teams for participation in the Paralympic Games, World Championships, and other international competitions.
