COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. — The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) is proud to announce a multi-year partnership extension with Molten USA, a world-leading manufacturer of sporting goods and official ball supplier, to remain the Official Basketball of the NWBA through 2029.
This renewed agreement reaffirms a shared commitment to advancing the sport of wheelchair basketball at all levels, from grassroots to elite competition, and ensures that NWBA athletes, coaches, and teams continue to compete with the highest quality equipment available.
“Molten has been an incredible partner to the NWBA and our athletes,” said Brandon McBeain, NWBA Chief Executive Officer. “Their continued support ensures consistency in high-performance play and demonstrates their dedication to the wheelchair basketball community. We’re excited to continue this relationship through 2029.”
“Molten feels very privileged to extend our partnership with the NWBA; both the organization and the athletes are exceptional!” stated Melissa Dawson, President of Molten USA. “We are honored to have the opportunity to accentuate this growth of the Wheelchair Basketball community by providing continued support to the coaches and players with excellent products and service.”
The NWBA’s partnership extension comes in conjunction with Molten’s recent renewal with the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF), reinforcing a global alliance aimed at growing and developing the game of wheelchair basketball both nationally and internationally.
Molten’s basketballs are engineered for durability, superior grip, and precision control — qualities that are critical in the fast-paced, high-intensity game of wheelchair basketball. The Molten BG4500 Series has become the standard for NWBA National Championships, Team USA training camps, and a wide range of sanctioned events.
