Division heads will recommend teams or players to be recognized.

Event and date(s):   Nebraska Red Dawgs Regional Tournament
              February 6-7th, 2016
              Omaha, Neb.

The first Junior Division Standout Team for the weekend of February 6-7 is the Denver Junior Rolling Nuggets, who finished fourth at the Nebraska Red Dawgs Regional Tournament in Omaha, Neb.

The Denver Jr. Nuggets performed remarkably well with a fourth-place finish in Omaha that included defeating two top 10 ranked teams.  Overall their program has grown over the years and they are a great example of a team that is doing things the right way. Four-time U.S. Paralympian Christina Schwab is the team’s head coach, and has the squad peaking in all basketball fundamentals in close proximity to the NWBA National Tournament presented by ABC Medical set for Louisville, Ky., April 7-10.

The Junior Rolling Nuggets finally defeated the Nebraska Red Dawgs for this first time this season, after losing two prior games by a narrow margin. The Junior Rolling Nuggets finished with a 3-2 mark and placed fourth overall.
