The deadline for the 2016-17 National Wheelchair Basketball Association Individual Registration has been extended until 11:59 p.m. MST on Friday, October 21st. All members of the NWBA must complete individual registration, this includes: players, coaches, team representatives, team classification reviewer, statistician, athletic trainer, equipment manager, administrator, board of directors (NWBA BOD/divisional/conference leadership), classifiers, hall of fame member and volunteers.

Coaches, team representatives, statisticians and equipment managers of the Junior Division must complete a National Center for Safety Initiatives background check. Click here for more information regarding the NWBA background check process and policy. All background checks must be completed through NCSI. Background checks are up-to-date with the NWBA for two years from date of approval. Upon completion of the 2016-17 NWBA Individual Registration you will be prompted and provided the link to complete a NCSI background check.

Individual registration includes an individual questionnaire. This will allow the NWBA to capture and tell the stories of the great individuals that are a part of the NWBA. Please include a photo and complete each question to best of your knowledge to ensure we have accurate information to share.

Athletes of the Junior Division do not need to provide a copy of a birth certificate or Junior Division Minimal Disability Certification Form if the athlete was registered in the Junior Division for the 2015-16 NWBA season. An annual update is required for the High School Verification Form for applicable athletes in the Junior Division. All new or players not register on a team in the Junior Division for the 2015-16 NWBA season will need to have a copy of birth certificate, Junior Division Minimal Disability Certification Form and High School Verification Form to complete the 2016-17 NWBA Individual Registration.
