The NWBA Collegiate Division Player of the Week Ballot for November 28 is now open through Wednesday, December 7 at 5 p.m. Mountain. This new program will provide recognition to student-athletes for their achievements on the basketball court during the prior week.

Fans are encouraged to rank the players below in the comment section, or tag the NWBA accordingly in a post. The Collegiate Division Team Representatives and Coaches will submit their ballots that account for 80 percent of the points, while online voting will account for the remaining 20 percent.

Please rank the players 1-3, where #1 vote receives 10 points, #2 receives 9 points, etc. The athlete with the most points will be named 2016 NWBA Collegiate Division Player of the Week. If there is a tie, the individual with the most #1 votes wins. If still tied, then most with #2 votes wins. If tied after #3 votes are tallied, players will be named Co-Players of the Week.

Nominees (Alphabetical Order)

Marshall Lindsay, University of Missouri

Marshall Lindsay, a junior, led Mizzou to a 3-1 record at the Collegiate Weekend December 2-3, at the University of Missouri.  He led the team in scoring, rebounding and assists.  Marshall was the top scorer in all 4 games.  His leadership was key to the team’s performance. On the season, Lindsay scores 23.5 points per game, and pulls down almost 8 rebounds and dishes out 4.5 assists per game.

Jeromie Meyer, Woodbine, Nebraska, University of Nebraska-Omaha

UNO sophomore Jeromie Meyer scored a team high 88 points in four games at the Mizzou Collegiate Weekend, Dec. 2-3. Meyer has paced the Mavericks throughout the early part of the NWBA Intercollegiate season averaging over 20 points per game.

Brent Regier, Henderson, Nebraska, University of Nebraska-Omaha

Brent Regier, a sophomore at UNO, is the second leading scorer for the Mavericks with just over 15 points per game and 10 rebounds per game. At the Mizzou Collegiate Weekend, Dec. 2-3, Regier had a breakout tournament putting up 59 points in four games and snagging over 10 rebounds per game.
