The NWBA Adult Division Ranking Committee announced its December Rankings for Division I, II and III on Thursday. The reigning NWBT champion Dallas Mavericks continue to hold down the top slot in Division I, with the New York Rollin’ Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks “A” rounding out the top 3, respectively.
The newly created NWBA Division II rankings have the Nassau Kings anchoring the No. 1 position, with the Detroit Diehards coming in at No. 2, with the Miami Valley Raptors in the third position.
The NWBA D-III rankings see the LWSRA Hawks securing the No. 1 ranking, with TIRR Hotwheels and RHI Pacers, in the No. 2 and No. 3 ranks.
The NWBA Adult Division Rankings are used in determining the invites for the 2017 National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament presented by ABC Medical, set for Louisville, Kentucky, March 30-April 2. The top 16 ranked teams in each division will receive an invite to the 2017 NWBT. The teams who do not accept an invite, then the NWBA Adult Division will extend an invite to the next highest ranked team.
The 2017 NWBT will feature a total of 48 teams from the NWBA Adult Division and 48 teams from the NWBA Junior Division. All divisions will play in a 16-team double elimination bracket for a national title.
