2017 NWBA National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament Tickets Now on Sale

Colorado Springs, Colo.- The 69th Annual National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament presented by ABC Medical will be held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, from March 30-April 2. This marks the 10th time that the tournament calls the Bluegrass state its home. 

There will be a total of 96 teams represented by the NWBA Adult and Junior Divisions. The top 16 teams from each of the Adult Divisions (D-I, D-II, and D-III). The Junior Division will feature the top 16 ranked teams in Varsity and Prep divisions. In total, five National Championship trophies will be awarded. The Junior Varsity Division will also feature the National Invitational Tournament, with 16 teams rolling for a title. All games will be played in the Kentucky Exposition Centers South Wing C.

The 2017 NWBT is a ticketed event and tickets are now on sale. Discounted tickets are available now until March 24 from the NWBA by clicking here. Pre-Sale Ticket prices are:

    • Adults - $26.00
    • Children (11-18 year olds) - $10.00
    • Children 10 and under free
  • Single Session Tickets
    • Adults - $15.00
    • Children (11-18 year olds) - $7.00
    • Children 10 and under free

Event tickets sold at the Kentucky Exposition Center will be: $32 for adults for all sessions or $19.00 per day. Children 11-18 will be $12 for all sessions and $10 per day. Children 10 and under are free.

The National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament will feature a total of 192 games on 12 courts, with a total of 72 games on Thursday, March 30, tipping at 10 a.m. Eastern.

On Friday, the day will commence at 8 a.m. at the Kentucky Exposition Center, where 60 games will be played as all divisions will play into placement games. Friday will also include the first round of the Per4Max Shoot-Out at 6 p.m., which is open to one athlete from the Junior Varsity teams in hopes of winning a Per4Max wheelchair for his/her team.

A new event for Junior aged athletes will be the Top End Talent Identification Clinic for boys and girls in high school grades 9-11. The Top End Talent Identification Clinic will be conducted by the U.S. Mens and Womens National Team coaches with support from some of the best wheelchair basketball athletes.

On Saturday all the action will start at 8 a.m. and run through 6 p.m. with the Junior National Invitational Tournament Championship game taking place at 4 p.m. The Per4Max Shootout finals will also be held on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Championship Sunday commences at 8 a.m. and runs through 6 p.m. Eastern, when the National Title Games for Junior Prep, Junior Varsity and the three Adult Divisions will all be contested. All final games will be streamed live on the NWBAs Facebook page.

From March 31-April 2nd, the NWBA's Operation Rebound for Veterans will hold an introductory wheelchair basketball clinic at the Kentucky Exposition Center. This year's program will attract at least 20 veterans from all military branches.

In addition to the NWBT, the NWBA Hall of Fame will hold its annual induction ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel on Saturday, April 1 at 6 p.m. Eastern.This year's inductees will soon be announced. The Junior Varsity and Junior Prep Banquets are slated for Saturday evening. Brackets and final ranking and seeding information are also forthcoming.
