COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO - NWBA Membership Week rolls on with the a breakdown of how non-athletes can register. Non-Athletes are individuals that serve in the following roles: Coach; Official; Classifier; Team Representative; Statistician; Athletic Trainer; Team Classification Reviewer; Equipment Manager; Administrator; Divisional and Conference Leadership; Board Directors; and Event Director. Only one entry for Non-Athlete Registration is required for individuals serving in various roles.
Early Individual Registration will open for non-athletes at 4 p.m. Mountain time on Wednesday, August 1. The Early Individual Registration will be open until 11:59 p.m. Mountain time on September 12. The registration fee for non-athletes during Early Individual Registration will be $50 (processing and background check fees included).
Open Individual Registration will open on Thursday, September 13. The registration fee during Open Individual Registration will be $60.
Remember, all members must first register as an individual before becoming registered Non-Athlete. If you are not an NWBA member, you will be automatically prompted to complete a membership when attempting to complete registrations on the NWBA website. The USOC has implemented a new training policy for SafeSport, all non-athletes must complete SafeSport training for the 2018-19 NWBA season

Payment options are available for teams and organizations to cover individual registration dues of team athletes and non-athletes.
Volunteers and Hall of Fame Members will have their individual membership dues waived if not serving in any other roles. A Volunteer is defined as a person who freely assist with NWBA operations and is not associated/involved with an NWBA team, group and/or committee.
The NWBA Membership Week is set for July 16 - 20 to communicate with the members all the important information and updates for the upcoming season. The NWBA will be communicating across multiple communication channels (NWBA.org; NWBA social networks; NWBA email) to best inform our members and those interested in wheelchair basketball the processes necessary to become a member of the NWBA in preparation of the 2018-19 season.
