Team USA @ 2018 IWBF World Championship: How to Watch + Game Schedule

Colorado Springs, Colorado – The U.S. Men’s and Women’s Wheelchair Basketball National Teams will compete in the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation World Championships in Hamburg, Germany, slated for competition, August 16-26, 2018. The women play first, against Algeria on Friday, August 17 at EST. The men begin their preliminary round against Poland on Saturday, August 18 at EST.

Both the men’s and the women’s teams are coming off gold-medal wins at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. The men’s team has 10 returning members of the gold-medal team and look to extend their four-year undefeated streak. The women’s team, with an average age of 18 years old, is looking to grow and gain international experience at this year’s championships as they build to defend their gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
