Two Training Courses being offered for NWBA Classifier Certification

Nov. 9-11 in TX & Feb. 8-10 in CA

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - For the 2018-19 season the National Wheelchair Basketball Association will be offering two training courses to become certified as a Regional Classifier in the NWBA functional sport classification system. The courses will be held in conjunction with the Jim Hayes Memorial Wheelchair Basketball Tournament and 2018 Third Annual Brad Rich Invitational.

The NWBA and Classification Committee invite trainers, coaches, sports administrators, physical therapist, medical professionals and anyone interested in becoming a NWBA certified classifier to attend a training course. The courses will also provide current NWBA Regional Classifiers the opportunity to test to become a NWBA National Classifier (must have served as Regional Classifier for two NWBA events).

There are only 15 spots available per training course, filled on a first come first serve basis.

  • Arlington, Texas on November 9-11
    • Meeting location TBD
    • Registration deadline: October 29 at 11:59 p.m. (MST)
    • Held during the Jim Hayes Memorial Wheelchair Basketball Tournament

 

  • San Diego, California on February 8-10
    • Meeting location TBD
    • Registration deadline: January 28 at 11:59 p.m. (MST)
    • Held during the 2018 Third Annual Brad Rich Invitational

The registration fee for each training course is $75.00. Completed registration forms should be sent to Brandon McBeain at brandonmcbeain@nwba.org prior to the registration deadline. The registration form and flier for both training courses are attached for your convenience.
