2019 Wayne Kunishige Memorial Scholarship Call for Applications
Deadline to submit applications is March 1
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The National Wheelchair Basketball Association is pleased to announce the 17th annual Wayne Kunishige Scholarship. Named to honor the memory of NWBA player and wheelchair innovator Wayne Kunishige, the scholarship was endowed by his family and friends. The scholarship award is a $1,000 cash scholarship.
The Wayne Scholarship will be awarded at the 2019 NWBA Junior Division Annual Banquet at the Toyota National Varsity Wheelchair Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 30 in New Lenox, IL. The award recipient must be an NWBA player who is a high school senior and planning to attend college or other educational endeavors in the fall of 2019. All high school senior players with a grade point average of 3.0 or better are invited to apply.
