The draw for the IWBF Wheelchair Basketball U25 Women’s World Championship took place following the second day of the IWBF World Forum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The U25 World Championship will take place in Bangkok, Thailand between 3-9 October 2023.

The Championships will see a record ten (10) teams competing, a huge step forward recognising the work in nations and zones in the development of women’s wheelchair basketball.

The draw is an important stage of team preparations for the World Championships and for the draw teams were paired based on their world rankings at previous Championships.

As host, Thailand, who were paired with the People’s Republic of China, they are afforded the opportunity to select their group.  The President of the Thai Wheelchair Basketball Sport Association, Phatt Krissana present at the draw selected Group B as shown below.
