COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. - The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) and the High Performance Team Selection Committee have announced the final roster for the Team that will represent the USA at the upcoming 2023 IWBF Women's U25 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship. This roster was finalized at the conclusion of the 2023 USA Women’s U25 Selection Camp hosted July 25-30 at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.   

The 2023 IWBF Women’s U25 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship is scheduled for Oct. 3-9 in Bangkok, Thailand. The World Championship is set to be the largest and will be returning to Thailand for a second consecutive time. Taking place every four years, this will be the fourth edition of the U25 World Championships with the USA as the reigning champions from 2019. The roster features four athletes who competed at the 2022 IWBF World Championships and at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. 
 
Bailey Moody (Alpharetta, Georgia) joins the final roster after recently earning a spot on the Team USA Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team that will be competing at the 2023 Parapan American Games on Nov. 17-26 in Santiago, Chile. Moody looks to reach the podium for a second time at the U25 World Championships after capturing gold in 2019. Moody began her Team USA experience as a member of the 2017 and 2022 Americas Cup teams that won silver medals. Moody went on to win a silver medal at the 2019 Lima Parapan American Games. In addition, she was a contributing member of the roster at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics that captured a bronze medal. Lastly, she helped Team USA claim bronze at the 2022 IWBF World Championships. 

Ixhelt Gonzalez (Chicago, Illinois) earns a spot on the squad after being named to the U.S. Women’s team that will be competing at the 2023 Parapan American Games. Fresh off an appearance at the 2022 World Championships that concluded with a bronze medal, Gonzalez won silver at the 2022 Americas Cup in Brazil. Gonzalez was also a member of the bronze medal winning team from the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Gonzalez looks to capture a podium finish for a second time at the U25 World Championships after capturing gold in 2019. 

Abby Bauleke (Savage, Minnesota) earns a spot on the final roster after helping Team USA secure a bronze medal in Dubai at the 2022 World Championships. Her most prestigious accomplishment would be her bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Bauleke also brings gold medal experience from the 2019 IWBF Under 25 World Championships. In addition, Bauleke added to her trophy collection last summer with a silver medal at the 2022 Americas Cup. She recently made the final roster for the U.S. Women’s Team that will be traveling to Chile to compete at the 2023 Parapan American Games. 
 
Ali Ibanez (Murray, Utah) earned a spot on the final roster after contributing to a bronze medal performance at the 2022 World Championships. Ibanez also helped Team USA earn bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Ibanez seeks a third podium finish at World Championships, having been a member of the 2019 Team USA squad that captured gold at the U25 World Championships. 

Josie DeHart (Fruita, Colorado) makes the final roster after helping Team USA secure a silver medal at the 2022 Americas Cup. DeHart was also an alternate for the U.S. Women’s rosters for the 2018 and 2022 World Championships. She most recently earned a spot on the Team USA Women’s Wheelchair Basketball squad that is set to compete at the 2023 Parapan American Games in November. 
 
Quinn Meyer (Austin, Texas) joins Team USA for the second time in her career. She was a contributing member of the 2022 Americas Cup squad that earned a silver medal in Brazil. Meyer is also a member of the ATX in the Junior Division – Varsity and Lady Mavericks in the Women’s Division. This Fall, she will be attending the University of Texas-Arlington. 
 
Emilee Gustafson (Big Lake, Minnesota), Hayley Nilson (Edina, Minnesota) and Abby Dunn (Susanville, California) each make their first U.S. national team roster. Gustafson, Dunn and Nilson all play collegiately at the University of Arizona. This past season, Gustafson was named a NWBA Intercollegiate Division Second Team All-American while Nilson earned a spot on the NWBA Intercollegiate Division All-Rookie Team. 
 
Moira Paulus (Menomonee, Wisconsin) makes the final roster after helping the University of Alabama secure a third consecutive national championship. A standout performer, Paulus earned Second Team All-America in a Crimson Tide uniform in 2023. 

Maddy Edwards (Tulsa, Oklahoma) and Erin Buckles (Stafford, Virginia) make the final roster for the first time in their careers. Edwards plays collegiately at the University of Texas-Arlington, while Buckles wrapped up her first collegiate season at the University of Alabama, where she earned a spot on the NWBA Intercollegiate Division All-Rookie Team. 

The following athletes have been named as alternates: Elizabeth Becker (Charlotte, NC) and Hannah Exline (Indianapolis, Indiana). 
 
Joining Head Coach Ryan Hynes on the sidelines will be:   

- Assistant Coach Jacob Counts of Covington, Kentucky  
- Assistant Coach Lauren Perry of Birmingham, Alabama  
- Team Leader Kate Rougeau of Troy, Michigan   
- Athletic Trainer Alex Curry of Tuscaloosa, Alabama 

Assisting in preparations as part of the extended staff are:   

- Strength and Conditioning Coach Katie McClosky of Houston, Texas
