Sports Biography:

Played with the Chicago Sidewinders of the Mid-West Conference from 1960-1963. Member of US Paralympic Basketball Team (1964-Tokyo). Served as President of NWBA Executive Committee 1966-1976. Competed in numerous USA Stoke Mandeville & Pan American Games. Member of NWAA Hall of Fame. Served as special advisor to 2 U.S. Presidents on matters concerning the employment of the disabled. Appointed as Commissioner of Rehabilitation in the Department of Health, Education & Welfare, under President Reagan.
