COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. - The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) Board of Directors has announced the team entry fees for the Adult Division, Junior Division, Women’s Division & Military Division portions of the 2024 NWBA National Championship Series. The Junior Division and Adult Division tournaments will be held in Richmond, VA, on April 5-7, 2024 (Junior) April 12-14, 2024 (Adult). The Women’s Division and Military Division tournaments will be held in Fort Wayne, IN, on April 26-28.  

The team fees to participate in the Adult and Junior Division national tournaments have remained at $500 per team since 2017. The NWBA has operated with a cautious approach to imposing increases to dues/fees to membership, understanding the ability for membership to combat the residual impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Though, the cost of operating a national tournament at this scale has increased drastically. Additionally, the NWBA leadership and local organizing committees for these events are working diligently to continue to enhance the event participant and attendee experience for all of the NWBA National Championship Series.  

Thus, to offset a just portion of these continually increasing costs, the team entry fee this year will be $650 per team. However, programs will be rewarded with a discounted rate per team if their program has multiple teams participating in a national tournament. 

The following are the team entry registration fees for Junior, Adult, Women’s & Military portions of the 2024 NWBA National Championship Series: 

1. $650 per team –program with one competing in a national tournament. 
2. $600 per team –program with two or three teams competing in a national tournament. 
3. $550 per team - program with four or more teams competing in a national tournament. 

The invoices for team entry fees will accompany team invitations directly from the NWBA; for Juniors invitations will begin to be shared on March 5 and Adult Division invitation will be shared on February 28.
