COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) and Sportable have announced hotel and special event details for the 2024 NWBA Adult and Junior Wheelchair Basketball National Championships. The Junior Division National tournaments will be held April 5-7, and Adult Division National Tournaments will be held April 12-14. The national games will be held at the Henrico Sports & Event Center in Richmond, Virginia. 

HOTEL INFORMATION 
Sportable and Richmond Region Tourism have secured 31 hotel properties to support the lodging accommodations for the two weekends of NWBA national championships. Competitive rate offerings have been reserved at each of the hotel properties. Click on the links below to directly book for the two weekends.

 The 2024 NWBA Adult and Junior Wheelchair Basketball National Championships will utilize a "Stay to Play Model" for lodging these events. Please see below for more information on "Stay to Play Model" which is commonly used in hosting sporting events:  

The “Stay to Play” Model helps ensure the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) receives hotel rebates for room nights associated with our event. This model allows the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) to offset costs from these hotel rebates for LOC to come as close to break even on hosting this event as possible. 
 
For logistical purposes, Sportable/NWBA will contact all teams invited to Nationals to request their hotel information. Each team will complete a form providing their team’s name, team members, hotel name, and confirmation number(s). 
 
The Stay to Play model is vital in helping the NWBA support our LOC and creating an efficient and well-organized event for all participants and attendees. 
 
A $300 fine will be assessed to any team that does not follow the Stay to Play model. This fine will be collected by Sportable.  

SPECIAL EVENTS  
The Junior Division Awards Ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 6 at the Thalhimer Pavilion at the Science Museum of Virginia (2500 W Broad St, Richmond, VA 23220). The doors open at 6 p.m., and the event is projected to run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. More details will be shared on this event when available.  

The NWBA Class of 2024 Induction Ceremony will be hosted on Saturday, April 13, at the Virginia War Memorial (621 S Belvidere St, Richmond, VA 23220). More details will be shared on this event when available.
