Details Announce for Junior Athlete & Adult Athlete Memberships for 2023-24 NWBA Season
The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) is excited to announce details for the Junior Athlete and Adult Athlete memberships and registration process for the 2023-2024 NWBA season.
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) is excited to announce details for the Junior Athlete and Adult Athlete memberships and registration process for the 2023-2024 NWBA season. Athletes are invited to become a member for the first time or renew their membership with the NWBA. For the 10th year, the NWBA will utilize the same membership platform, SportsEngine.
The registration links for Junior Athlete and Adult Athlete will be posted on the NWBA webpage at https://www.nwba.org/individualregistration. The registration links for will be available at 5 p.m. Mountain time on Tuesday, August 1.
Junior Athlete and Adult Athlete Membership Dues
The following will be the Junior Athlete and Adult Athlete Membership Dues for the 2023-24 NWBA season:
Early Individual Registration
August 1, 2023 thru October 4, 2023

$25 Junior Athlete

$50 Adult Athlete
Open Individual Registration
Register Thursday, October 5 and after

$35 Junior Athlete

$60 Adult Athlete
This information was shared during the 2023 NWBA Annual Assembly (May 2023 - recording here). The 2023-24 NWBA season is the last year of the multi-year membership dues structure approved by the NWBA Board of Directors on June 15, 2018 (click here for more information).
Becoming An Athlete Member
To become a NWBA member in good standing, you will have completed each of the following:
1. Establish, or sign into existing SportsEngine Account (same as previous years)
2. Establish or renew your NWBA Membership (integrated directly in the registration process)
3. *NEW MEMBERS or THOSE WITHOUT ELIGIBILITY PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED ONLY* - Review and complete the necessary information and processes for player eligibility with the NWBA PRIOR to completing Athlete Registration. The information is available at https://www.nwba.org/playereligibility.
4. Complete applicable 2023-2024 Registration Session (Junior Athlete or Adult Athlete)
Various requirements apply for each membership category and registration session. Details can also be found at https://www.nwba.org/individualregistration.
For individuals registered on multiple teams, you will only be required to register and pay one time (i.e. athletes on an Junior, Adult Division (DI, DII or DIII), Military Division and/or Women's Division teams may register for those teams during one registration session.
Athletes With Spinal Cord Injury – Membership Dues Fully Funded!
For the 2023-24 NWBA season all athletes with a spinal cord injury will have their membership dues fully funded at no cost! The support to cover the cost of these membership dues for this season for those athletes with spinal cord injuries is being provided by a Craig H. Nielsen Foundation Grant awarded to the NWBA. More details and process for the membership dues being funded will be integrated into the Junior Athlete and Adult Athlete Registrations.

Appreciate the consideration by athletes with spinal cord injuries to make a donation in the amount of their expected membership dues when completing their registration!
Early Individual Registration for Non-Athletes opens at 5 p.m. Mountain time on Tuesday, August 1. More information will be shared in an announcement tomorrow.
